My name is Joanne Dougan and I am the creator of Plan C Strategies

understand how to handle everything that happens in your life brilliantly!
Thirty plus years of being a therapist as well as 25 plus years in therapy myself,
I still wasn't able to handle my life without huge mood swings,
anger and a racing mind that kept me up for hours in the middle of the night.
During a particularly stress-filled time, I could not stop crying.
I decided to focus on breathing because I had no idea what else to do.
One particular day, I went to wash my face and looked in the mirror. What was reflected was an old miserable person! So I smiled and what reflected back looked immediately less miserable. So I added smiling to my breathing and within a few days I felt better.
That was the start of Plan C Strategies.
Since 2010, I have been teaching women how to use Plan C so that they, too, are breathing, smiling and learning how to handle their lives with emotional intelligence. Intro to Plan C classes and Master EQ sessions are for people who desire a group connection. 1:1 Private Advisories are for those who want to focus on their personal journey.

Joanne's Plan C Strategies came into my life at a particularly confusing time. My personal relationship were drastically shifting and I was trying to (unsuccessfully) maneuver through painful family issues.
I felt like I was floating from one day into the next, feeling sorrier for myself as each day passed.
I always felt like I would never be able to change my anxious and stressed out mindset, that I would always operate that way.
Plan C has fundamentally shifted my perspective on how to approach difficult relationships. It has give me the strength and clarity to identify my core values in life and not be ashamed of focussing on them.
And most importantly, it has given the opportunity to share all of these thoughts in a beautifully supportive and safe space with others.
